If you’re an SEO expert, then you’re probably well aware of the importance of backlinks. But if you aren’t, let me explain: backlinks are links from other websites that point back to your site. They’re what help search engines like Google know where your content is coming from and how relevant it is to specific keywords they want to rank for. While there are many ways to do more tracking backlinks- and even ways to track them!- I’ll be focusing on two main strategies here: Guest posts and social media outreach campaigns.

What are Backlinks?

Backlinks are links to your website from other websites or social media posts. They can be positive or negative, but the main thing about them is that they help search engines like Google understand more about your content and place your higher in their rankings.

Backlinks come in many forms: organic (when a user shares or recommends a piece of content), paid (where someone pays money for an advertisement on another site), and even forced (when someone pushes out an unnatural link to make sure it shows up).

How Long Does It Take for Backlinks to Show Up?

When You’re Trying to track backlinks, it’s important to know how long it takes for them to show up on Google and other major search engine platforms. It depends on a variety of factors:

  • How many links are there?
  • How old are they?
  • Are they from a trusted source or not?

The first two questions will help you determine whether or not your link-building campaigns are effective. The third one can be answered by looking at the age of the link being built- if it’s new, then expect it to take longer than older ones have taken (typically between 6 to 18 months).

Why Do You Need to Monitor Your Backlinks?

Backlinks are a key ranking factor, and they can help you understand your site’s quality. In addition to that, they’re also an indicator of how much content is being shared and read on the web- and therefore, what kind of opportunities, you might have.

How is Monitoring and Tracking Your Site’s Backlinks?

There are a few tools you can use to monitor and track your site backlinks.

  • Backlink monitoring tools: These are free or paid services that allow you to check the number of inbound links pointing to your website, as well as their quality. You can also use them to see if any of these links have been removed or altered since being set up (which could be an issue). Some examples include Mozcast and Ahrefs Site Explorer.
  • Tracking backlinks software: this type of software allows users to access different metrics on their websites such as page views per day (PVPD), bounce rate, etc. But it will only give real-time data when installed in an individual domain name rather than having multiple domains in one place like some other platforms do: however this feature might not be necessary if using another tool mentioned above instead!

Monitor Your Guest Posts

The next step is to monitor the guest posts you need to make sure that the content of your guest posts is consistent, and also that all links included in those posts are relevant. If a link isn’t relevant, then it will be ignored by search engines and users.

You must monitor how many times each of your guest posts are shared and tweeted. The more people share them, the better!

Track and Report Any Suspicious Backlinks

  • Suspicious track backlinks
  • Nofollow track backlinks
  • Track backlinks that are not live
  • Track backlinks from blacklisted sites or domains (e.g., Google Blacklist).
  • Ensure you’re tracking all of your site’s outgoing links, including any internal links and those on other pages in your navigational hierarchy (e.g., blog posts).

Track the Live Status of Your Core Backlinks

Tracking the live status of your core backlinks is an important step in the process of building a strong and relevant website.

  • You can use a backlink monitoring tool like Ahrefs to track your own site’s backlinks.
  • Or, you could also use tools like Moz to help you monitor other sites’ links to yours.

Measure the Impact of Ranking Changes

  • Track changes in ranking, traffic, and organic visits.
  • Track changes in organic search volume, position and click-through rate. By tracking these metrics you will able to see if your website is getting more or less exposure from search engines. You can also see if the links you have built up are helping or hurting the ranking of your site.

Track Backlinks to Get Better SEO Results

Backlinks are links to your website from other websites. you can find them in the search results of Google, Bing, and Yahoo! search. The more backlinks you have, the better your SEO will be overall. However, there’s also a risk that some of these links could be spammy.

Backlink sites such as Ahrefs offer tools for tacking all your external links so that you can see what’s working and heat isn’t working for your business online. If a lot of people aren’t linking back to your site because it looks messy or doesn’t have enough quality content on it then this could mean something has gone wrong with how users interpreted the information provided by these sources instead!

Bottom Line

Whether you’re a small business or an eCommerce platform looking to expand, backlinks are important for your SEO strategy. They can help you get better rankings in search engines, and they’re the foundation of your online marketing plan.

In this post, we have discussed what backlinks are, how to track them, and their importance for your site. we hope that you found it useful. If you have any questions or comments please do let us know!
